07-07-2010 - Grant awarded to Limerick Animal Welfare

SWT has today been able to send a grant of £400 to LAW to help towards the costs of ongoing veterinary care for two very special sighthounds, Elsie a little brindle lurcher who at only about 1 year old has suffered brutally from being a suspected bait dog, and Sir Arden, another lurcher in desperate need having been hit whilst straying, causing a broken pelvis.

Both hounds are suffering from terrible neglect, mange, flea ridden and desperately hungry.

Thanks to some generous donations in the last week, we have been able to respond immediately to help LAW look after Elsie and Sir Arden.
